BVO UV DS Linear Polarizer

Optimized Range: 365 nm – 450 nm  |  High Durability UV Dyestuff  |  3D Printing / UV LED  |  Doc: BVO.UVDS.PB.202201
365–450 nm UV Bleach Resistant 3,927:1 Peak Contrast 80%+ Tp Large Panel Format
BVO UV DS is a high durability ultraviolet dyestuff linear polarizer optimized for the 365–450 nm band. The dyestuff construction resists bleaching from high-intensity UV LED and UV lamp sources — the primary failure mode for iodine-based UV polarizers in high-power applications. Purpose-built for LCD/DLP-based 3D printer light engines, UV LED curing systems, and any application requiring sustained high-intensity UV polarization. Available in large panel formats up to 1000 mm × 620 mm for direct lamination to LCD 3D printer panels.
Active range note: BVO UV DS is optimized for 365–450 nm. Above 450 nm Tc rises sharply — this product is not specified for visible or NIR applications. For broadband UV/Vis coverage see BVO UV.

Key Features

Performance

BVO UV DS delivers high Tp (80%+) with strong contrast across the 365–450 nm active band. Contrast peaks at 3,927:1 at 420 nm and remains above 2,500:1 from 380–440 nm. Above 450 nm the dyestuff system rolls off abruptly — Tc rises to 1.7% at 460 nm and 35% at 480 nm. This product is strictly for the 365–450 nm band and should not be used outside this range.

The dyestuff construction is the critical differentiator: standard iodine-based UV polarizers bleach under sustained UV LED exposure, losing contrast within hours. BVO UV DS maintains polarization performance under continuous UV LED illumination — essential for 3D printer duty cycles and UV curing lines.
