BVO NIR HD Linear Polarizer

Active Range: 400 nm – 1,000 nm  |  High Durability Dyestuff  |  Doc: BVO.NIRHD.202501
400–1000 nm 20,000:1 Visible 5,000:1 NIR −20°C to 95°C LED Burn-in Resistant Absorptive
BVO NIR HD is a high durability, dyestuff linear polarizer covering both the visible and NIR bandwidth from 400 nm to 1000 nm. The dyestuff architecture makes this polarizer inherently resistant to LED burn-in — the primary failure mode for standard NIR polarizers in high-intensity illumination applications. BVO NIR HD is ideal for machine vision illumination systems, automotive NIR cameras, semiconductor and PCB inspection, and any application where a polarizer is exposed to sustained high-intensity LED output. Available in a larger-than-A4 format for large panel laminations of NIR LED lighting banks.

Applications

Machine Vision Illumination LED illumination polarizer for machine vision imaging. Dyestuff resists burn-in from sustained high-intensity LED output — primary use case.
Fruit & Food Inspection VIS/NIR polarized illumination for agriculture inspection, sorting systems, and food quality imaging.
NIR Solid-State Sensors High durability NIR polarization for optical and solid-state sensor arrays. Withstands prolonged LED exposure without degradation.
NIR Camera Polarization Broadband 400–1000 nm coverage for NIR camera systems. Imaging capable, absorptive, no stray reflection.
Automotive NIR Systems High temperature operation to 95°C suitable for automotive NIR cameras, license plate recognition, and driver monitoring systems.
Semiconductor & PCB Inspection High intensity, high durability polarization for wafer inspection, PCB defect detection, and semiconductor process control.
Polarized Raman Spectroscopy Broadband NIR polarizer for Raman spectroscopy systems requiring stable, high-contrast polarization across the NIR band.
Multispectral Imaging Single polarizer covers 400–1000 nm for broadband multispectral imaging platforms — eliminates multiple polarizers.
License Plate Recognition NIR polarization for license plate scanning and traffic monitoring. High durability for 24/7 outdoor illumination environments.
Biometrics Polarization NIR polarization for biometric imaging systems — iris recognition, vein mapping, and facial recognition in NIR band.
Surveillance Systems High durability NIR polarizer for 24/7 surveillance cameras operating in demanding environments with continuous LED illumination.
NIR Polarized Microscopy High contrast NIR polarization for microscopy applications requiring stable polarization state across the visible and NIR bandwidth.
