Our visible polarizers are available as a finished component (sandwiched between coated optical substrates) or as a free standing custom cut unit (can be antireflection coated). Our polarizers can also be mounted to liquid crystal devices, waveplates or other preexisting optical components. |

| UHC High Transmission Polarizer Bolder Vision recommends the ultra high contrast (UHC) polarizer for the majority of visible applications. The UHC high transmission polarizer has exceptional transmittance characteristics while maintaing a very high contrast ratio and is excellent for white light or wavelength specific projects. Common single sheet transmittance is 43% allowing for maximum throughput of plane polarized light. | |

| HN Series Polarizer Bolder Vision also offers some of the classic HN series polarizers. These polarizers are from the old Polaroid catalog and are used widely by optical engineers. In some cases, the HN polarizers are useful for the shoulders of the visible band. The blue region (400-425nm) can be addressed by either the Vis22 (good contrast, high attenuation) or the Vis32 (better throughput, less contrast). In the near infrared, the Vis22 polarizer does an admirable job from 700-810nm (over 1000:1 contrast) and works all the way out to 840nm. This just catches a common laser diode centered at 830nm. | Visible applications This high transmission/high contrast polarizer is excellent for many visible wavelength applications. The recommended wavelength region is between 420nm-700nm and excellent for many white light applications. Among the many applications utilizing visible polarizer are liquid crystal display enhancement, photography, microscopy, spectroscopy and interferometry.
